The fork is an app to make restaurant reservations based on your selected location. For a food enthusiast like myself, an app like this would sort out my weekend plans without a worry. But as I started exploring, the app was difficult to use. It felt outdated and seemed like the sister of Booking.com app. It was definelty in need of a redesign.

Interestingly, apps had a pop of color to bring in a more playful element which is missing from the fork - its extremly monochromatic, and not in a classic way - just the boring way.

We decided to bring in more color and make it more playful as compared to the existing design. A combination of turquoise blue and teal with pops of a earthy red color bought in the much needed break from monotony.

This UI redesign was done in 2 days. It was definelty a race against time when we tried as a team of two to work together to bring our unified vision on screen. But at the end, with the micro-animations and the reservation experience being more simplified, we were satisfied with what we achieved in a short span of time.
